Garda Trentino – the all-year-round destination

Hiking, biking, exploring nature: a Mediterranean winter

Thanks to its mild climate, winter in Garda Trentino is the ideal season for outdoor adventures and activities. Walking through the woods and olive groves, strolling along the promenades, then rounding off the itinerary with a leisurely picnic on a wonderfully quiet beach – or, for more ambitious hikers, what about an energetic multi-stage tour? The Low and Medium Loops of the Garda Trek are perfect on colder days of the year. Cycling too is possible in the Garda Trentino in winter as a great way to build up stamina for the warmer months. Whether climbing on the sunny rocks above the Sarca Valley, or winter walking and snowshoeing at Monte Altissimo, in Garda Trentino southern climes and snow are just a stone’s throw from one another!

Winter peace in the Ledro Valley and in Comano
Those who fancy a “soft” winter should spend it in the Ledro Valley or in Comano! While the snowfall in the mountains northwest of Lake Garda lies in winter’s (not always sympathetic) hands, the cold season here is still worth a visit. The relatively mild climate in the valley around Lake Ledro and in the village of Comano means you can enjoy nature in all its winter peace and quiet – with or without snow!
Winter on the slopes of the Brenta Dolomites
While some might want their winter experience to feature comfort, peace and quiet, others can hardly wait to get out into the glittering snow! Madonna di Campiglio in the Brenta Dolomites is the perfect destination for true winter lovers: awaiting visitors are no fewer than 150 kilometres of slopes, 57 lifts and a 50,000 m2 snow park. There’s active, there’s vigorous – and then there’s winter in the Brenta Dolomites!
