Crags in Garda Trentino

Cliffs, carabiners – and sunshine!

Daredevil locals placed the first pitons in the 1980s and, since then, climbing fans from all over the world have been coming to Garda Trentino, because the rocks around Arco make for perfect climbing terrain. There are legendary walls such as the Belvedere and the Spiaggia delle Lucertole (Lizard Beach), tricky bouldering problems to solve and sun and lakeside to savour over a cappuccino in the afternoon – all while it is still freezing north of the Alps! A vast range of climbing choices – so clip on your magnesium bag and up you go!
