THE BEACHES OF GARDA TRENTINO

Beach holidays in Garda Trentino

BATHING IN THE LAKE

There are a number of beautiful, freely accessible beaches – some narrow, some wide – between Riva del Garda, Arco and Torbole sul Garda. A flower-lined promenade runs behind them, separating the beaches with their umbrellas, bath towels and sunbeds from the many bars, bistros and gelaterias that serve coffee and croissants, fruit salads and fruity cocktails all day long. The northern end of Lake Garda offers the pure feeling of summer – and of holidays!

And, for those who love nature and privacy, Garda Trentino offers several bathing lakes set among lush Alpine scenery. If the idea of alternating mountain and lake views warms your heart and refreshes your mind, there are meadows to be found in our woods where you can lie in the sun, with picnic areas, snack bars and, of course, rowing boats, pedalos, canoes and SUP boards. Dive into the lakes of Garda Trentino, stroll around Lake Toblino and Lake Cavedine, explore the shores of Lake Tenno and Lake Ledro, or take in the scenery as you dip your toes in the waters of Lake Lamar, Lake Lagolo or Lake Terlago. Simply immerse yourself in the freshness of nature!

The beaches at Riva del Garda

Stones and gravel alternate along the Spiaggia Pini – but the beach also has a large green space. It is not just the area reserved for windsurfers that attracts a young crowd to the Spiaggia Pini – the little playground with its sandpit makes it family-friendly too.

The Spiaggia Sabbioni is one of the largest beach resorts in the Garda Trentino region, with numerous deckchairs and sun loungers, a refreshments stand, showers and canoe rental. The family highlights on this beach include a basketball court and a playground complete with trampoline and sandpit. The adjacent park offers plenty of shade.

The Miralago is a pebble beach surrounded by greenery, perfect for relaxing, reading, strolling... and just recuperating in general.

The beaches at Torbole

The Al Cor is a stony beach that can be reached via a large green area: it has outdoor showers, toilet facilities, a beach bar and deckchair and sun lounger rental. There are numerous windsurfing clubs with their own designated areas: there is also a children’s playground close to the beach, near the former “Pavese holiday home”.

The constantly blowing wind makes the Lido Blu / Villa Cian beach very popular with windsurfers, who will also find excellent infrastructure and great service here. It is ideal for sunbathing too, with outdoor showers, a café and restaurant; while the large, well-kept grassy area with its beach volleyball court makes it a meeting place for both the young and the young at heart.

Lake Ledro
The “Lago di Ledro”, to give it its Italian name, is located at an altitude of 655 metres above Lake Garda, amidst the mountains of the Ledro Valley. In summer it not only attracts water sports enthusiasts who swim, sail and kite surf, but also anyone wishing to spend hot days with a picnic, a good book or just relaxing with the family on the shore. Adventure is to be had not just in the lake, but all around: whether hiking or mountain biking, nature lovers are sure to find lots to see and do in Lake Ledro’s green environs!
the beaches at Arco

The beach at Arco is beautifully located by the cycle path between Torbole sul Garda and Riva del Garda, connecting the two localities with Arco. The beach consists of small stones with a large grassy area and is ideal for sunbathing, as well as attracting numerous more active types with its sailing, biking and windsurfing centre. A refreshments stand, showers and toilet facilities are also available.

The trees by the bathing beach in the village of Moletta near Arco on the banks of the River Sarca provide inviting shade. This small beach is perfect for a quick dip in the cooling waters and is therefore also ideal for kids! It can be reached directly via the cycle path – or, if you are coming by car, there is a small parking area nearby.

Lake Tenno
Lake Tenno, just a few kilometres from Riva del Garda, is an atmospheric mountain lake with turquoise waters located in the midst of the forest greenery. It can be reached on foot via a stairway and a narrow waterfront path to the small stretches of grassy and stony beach. There are lifeguards in summer to ensure safe bathing for all, while a snack bar, picnic area and toilet facilities are also available.
Beaches in Valle dei Laghi
Surrounded by nature and far from the hustle and bustle of city life, the beaches in Valle dei Laghi offer the perfect escape for those seeking rest and relaxation on hot summer days. Be it on the shores of Lake Terlago, Lagolo, Lamar, Santo, or Cavedine, sprawling meadows invite visitors to lay out their picnic blankets or towels and dive into the deep blue.

Lake Terlago is the perfect spot for wakeboarding fans, while Lake Cavedine is a popular destination for those learning how to windsurf, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard (SUP).

And when the water is still a little too chilly to go for a swim, the grassy banks of these small lakes are the perfect place for a picnic or to top up your tan.
