Third stage of the Nosiola route, between Lake Cavedine and Cavedine.
The third stage of the Nosiola route follows a secondary road lined with dry stone walls that takes you halfway up the hill, through cultivated fields and private houses. Along the way, the natural landscape is lush and swept by the Ora del Garda, which reaches these places caressing the Nosiola crops and favoring an interweaving of mountain tree species such as pines, firs, and beeches, and Mediterranean species such as holm oaks and olives. Lake Cavedine, formed by an ancient landslide from Monte Brento and Monte Casale above, remains visible with its calm and varied waters. Hydrologically connected to the lakes of S. Massenza and Toblino by the Rimone stream, an artificial tributary 4 kilometers long, it is now used as a decentralised basin for hydroelectric energy production. The route continues along the road to Pietramurata.

The Nosiola route loop can be extended by connecting with other routes towards Calavino and the lakes of S. Massenza and Toblino.

You need to wear the right clothing and bring appropriate equipment when hiking in the mountains. Even on relatively short and easy outings, make sure to bring everything necessary so you don’t encounter problems in case of unexpected events, for example, if a thunderstorm breaks out or you experience a sudden drop in energy.
What should you bring when going on a hike?
Your backpack (for a one-day hike a capacity of 25/30L should be enough) should contain:
Make sure to wear footwear suitable for the route and the season. The terrain can become uneven and rocky, and a pair of trekking boots will protect you from sprains. When wet, a grassy slope, rock slab, or steep path can be dangerous unless you wear the right shoes.
And finally... don’t forget your camera! You will need it to capture the stunning panoramas you'll encounter throughout Garda Trentino. And if you want, you can share your memories with us at #GardaTrentino.
