A panoramic and little-known loop route that leads to discovering the wonders of the local flora and fauna.
A loop of absolute panoramic and naturalistic value where the presence of humans, mostly limited to activities related to alpine grazing and forestry, integrates well with the surrounding nature. Characterized by the influence of the Mediterranean climate of Garda and the subalpine climate of the Dolomites, the area is rich both floristically and for the presence of many wildlife species that only the most attentive and silent hikers will be able to see.

Take the forest road SAT461 just after the village of Cornelle in Fiavè and keep right until loc. Corde where you find the next signpost. Here we change to the trail SAT 462B. The path follows a forest road and after a short steep section we reach loc. Tombus. Continue along the flat road which then turns into a path until it intersects with the forest road coming up from the Ballino pass. Follow it to loc. Rocchetta, where the gravel road ends and turns into a military mule track that, with constant slopes, climbs a magnificent beech forest. Once in sight of malga Nardis, we continue along the path that crosses the pasture through the dwarf pines to the alp hut itself.
After a well-deserved rest, take the trail SAT 461 which climbs the pasture north of the alp hut up to the obvious saddle. From here the panorama becomes even wider and more satisfying, ranging from the Garda and Tenno lakes to Monte Baldo, from Pasubio to the Brenta Dolomites, to the Adamello Presanella group and up to the closer Ledrensi Prealps. We continue along the ridge, staying on path 461, and after a short descent among rhododendrons and alders, we reach malga Cogorna. Cross the pasture heading north, following the indications for Cornelle, up to the edge of the forest. Here the descent path, always well shaded inside the forest, becomes in some parts steeper and in a couple of hours will bring us back to the starting point, thus closing a loop that is absolutely rewarding from a landscape and panoramic point of view.
Given the scarcity of water along the route, it is recommended to carry a good supply of liquids and, due to the exposure, to face the climb early in the morning especially during the warmer periods. The loop route can be tackled in both directions; ascend first to Cogorna if you want to face the more technical part uphill.
The Bleggio area is connected to other Garda Trentino centers by the extra-urban bus line 211 (Riva del Garda - Tenno - Fiavè - Ponte Arche). Stop: Fiavè center, then continue on foot.
From Ponte Arche/Comano Terme continue on SS 421 towards Fiavé (7 km). Then follow the direction "Bleggio" and take the road to the hamlet "Cornelle".
Parking in the square of Fiavè (continue on foot towards Cornelle) or along the road in the locality Cornelle.
Mountain hikes require specific clothing and equipment. Even for relatively short and easy trips, it is always better to be well equipped to avoid unpleasant surprises and to face unexpected events such as a sudden storm or energy drop.
What to bring for mountain trekking?
In the backpack (for a daily hike a 25/30L is usually recommended) it is good to bring:
Wear footwear suitable for the path and the season. The trail surface can be uneven or rough and a pair of hiking boots will protect you from sprains. A grassy slope, a rock slab or a steep path, when wet, can become dangerous without proper footwear.
Finally… don’t forget the camera! It will be useful to capture the hike and the countless breathtaking views that Garda Trentino hides around every corner. If you want to share your memories with us, you can use the hashtag #GardaTrentino
