In the footsteps of World War One

Situated at the heart of Festung Abschnitt, the complex defence system erected by the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the latter half of the 19th century, Mount Brione is home to four forts, which safeguarded all the access points to Upper Garda, be it by land or lake, owing to its strategic location.

Forte Garda and Forte Batteria di Mezzo, now offer an opportunity for history enthusiasts and curious minds alike to explore the secrets that lie behind their imposing walls.
