A demonstration is scheduled to take place in Gries am Brenner (Austria) on Saturday, May 30, causing a temporary closure of traffic along the Brenner corridor in both directions.
From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the following roads will be closed:
- the A13 Brenner motorway between the Brenner border crossing and the Schönberg main toll station;
- the B182 Brenner federal road on the Austrian side.
This weekend coincides with the return travel after the Pentecost holidays and the departures for the Italian national holiday on June 2, a period when traffic along the Brenner route is usually particularly heavy. As a result, traffic jams and delays may occur not only during the planned closure, but also in the hours and days before and after May 30.
If you are planning to travel to or from Garda Trentino, we recommend organising your journey in advance, checking possible alternative routes and following traffic updates before departure.
