Lake fish festival at the Brolio Park, a traditional summer festival where you can taste lake sardines caught by volunteers of the Amici della Tirlindana association. Sardines were originally a marine species that seems to have sailed up the Po and Mincio rivers thousands of years ago, entering Lake Garda. Later, perhaps due to a period of drought, it would have been unable to return to the sea and adapted to life in fresh water. Its meat is exquisite, with a slightly less strong flavour than that of the sea, and it is among the most appreciated of the Garda fish.
