The DISPLAY project was launched in 2024 with the aim of making the artistic heritage of Fondazione Caritro more accessible, open and closer to people.
Through a digital and travelling format, DISPLAY brings the Art Collection beyond traditional venues, engaging with places, communities and different audiences across the Trentino region.
“Display” is a word that reflects the typical ambiguity of English terms. It means both “exhibition” and “screen”.
It is, at the same time, the presentation of Fondazione Caritro’s Art Collection and the digital tool through which everyone can access it.
DISPLAY is a journey structured into three interconnected phases:
Each stage represents an opportunity to experiment with new ways of experiencing art, creating a dialogue between artworks, spaces and different contexts.
The project is enriched over time with activities, meetings and events: educational programmes for schools, experiences for families, children and teenagers, as well as in-depth opportunities for adult audiences.
DISPLAY is an experimental project, a reflection on accessibility as a strategy for enhancing art. It provides tools to understand the scale, complexity and depth of Fondazione Caritro’s Art Collection.
Above all, DISPLAY is a digital archive of indexed artworks that offers full access to the Collection and invites everyone to create their own interpretations.
