The Garda Rookie Fest is an international Skateboard and BMX event that is part of the World Rookie Tour (WRT), a global platform dedicated to discovering and developing young talents in action sports under 18.
Founded over 20 years ago, the World Rookie Tour is now a worldwide reference for the sporting, cultural and personal development of new generations, attracting athletes, media and audiences from all over the world. For six years, the World Rookie Tour has been present in Trentino thanks to its collaboration with Madonna di Campiglio, which hosts the Freeski World Finals, strengthening a long-standing and successful relationship with the region.
For the first time, the circuit selects Riva del Garda as a stop dedicated to urban sports, complementing an already well-established presence in Trentino and reinforcing the connection with the area. Garda Rookie Fest brings an international format capable of enhancing local facilities and the outdoor environment of Lake Garda.
A key feature of this edition is the introduction of BMX Freestyle, an Olympic discipline, which expands the programme and enriches the event’s sporting offer.
The festival also hosts the He.Art project, an inclusive artistic workshop that brings together athletes and vulnerable individuals from the local community, both adults and children, in a shared experience of creativity and expression.
This initiative adds a strong social dimension, where sport and art become tools for inclusion and participation.
In collaboration with BMX Garda Trentino, an open session will also take place on the pump track at Parco delle Busatte, designed for skateboard and BMX riders. It offers the opportunity to experiment with new riding dynamics, connect with local bikers and experience the area through sport.
