“Bows & Bowie” is a project by the Archimia String Quartet & Matteo Becucci, paying tribute to one of the greatest artists of the second half of the 20th century, David Bowie, whose talent goes far beyond that of a singer or actor.
Calling Bowie simply a singer or songwriter would be reductive. Throughout his life, he explored every form of art: alongside music, he was also active in painting and cinema, working with directors such as Martin Scorsese, David Lynch and Christopher Nolan, among others.
He is considered a pioneer of musical styles and has undoubtedly influenced entire decades of music.
The original arrangements by Archimia and Becucci’s voice give the performance an intimate and refined atmosphere, almost like a theatrical or chamber music format, while maintaining its strong pop identity, aiming to reveal the more intimate side of David Bowie’s masterpieces.
