JULY 7

• Landscape and sport
  8:30 pm | Auditorium, Tiarno di Sopra
  
  The event aims to explore the effects of climate change on the landscape and the resulting impact on sports activities. We have brought together experts and athletes to discuss this highly topical issue with the aim of informing the public about the changes currently taking place.
  
  The following speakers will engage in a discussion:
  • Marco Albino Ferrari, one of the most authoritative voices in mountain culture.
  • Claudio Inselvini, president of the Italian Academic Alpine Club.
  • Licia Ferrari, a young talent from Val di Ledro, has won multiple Italian youth titles in mountain running, cross-country, and triathlon.
  • Stefano Dalvai, gold medalist at the World Transplant Games.
  • Federico Risatti, an athlete with the Fiamme Oro team, who won gold in February at the Italian Championships in Lama Mocogno, near Modena

JULY 10

• Lame da Barba

  Set against the backdrop of the Arco Arboretum, which features approximately 200 different species of trees and shrubs spread across an area of about 2 hectares, Lame da Barba takes the stage.
  Lame da Barba is a project born from the desire to create hypnotic sounds with a Mediterranean flavor,
  arising from a fusion of composition and improvisation. The quartet crafts soundscapes by blending Arab-Andalusian rhythms and tones with their own Southern Italian roots, creating earthy atmospheres with an archaic sound. A concert to be fully listened to and savored.

• Walk along the Olive Tree Trail in Arco

  In search of harmony between people and the land. A journey and a storytelling experience on foot, exploring the architecture of dry-stone walls and the wisdom of centuries-old olive trees.
  In a fast-paced world, the terraced landscape teaches us the art of patience and care. We’ll walk among centuries-old olive trees, where each dry-stone wall is not a boundary but a stone embroidery that embraces life and halts time. Here, the Geography of Peace is written with the sweat of those who have learned to negotiate the slope, transforming hostile rock into a hanging garden. An excursion to rediscover a slow pace, listen to the whisper of silver leaves, and rediscover the millennia-old alliance between humankind and the earth. We’ll bring with us the naturalist’s gaze and the traveler’s stride, to discover that every stone and every tree trunk has a millennia-old story to tell.
  We’ll be guided by the experience, wisdom, and professionalism of naturalist and mid-mountain guide Alessandro Marsilli
  
  12:30 pm – End of the excursion
  Return to the Arboretum for a packed-lunch break, accompanied by Alessandro’s nuggets of wisdom.

JULY 28

• Guided tour of the exhibition “Visit Lake Garda! Graphics and promotion from the Belle Époque to modern tourism”
  5:30 pm | MAG – Museo Alto Garda, Riva del Garda
  
  Through more than one hundred works including posters, guides, brochures, postcards and photographs, the exhibition tells the story of tourism promotion on Lake Garda from the late 19th to the mid 20th century, when the area transitioned from elite tourism to a more accessible model.
  Around a core collection of posters owned by MAG, works from the Advertising Archive of Genoa, the Municipal Historical Archive of Riva del Garda and private collections are also displayed.
   
• Landscapes of the soul through art
  6:30 pm
  With Antonella Bertolotti, psychiatrist and writer, and Santina Bianchini, art historian and teacher.
   
• Opening of the exhibition “War seen through the eyes of Palestinian and Ukrainian children”
  8:00 pm
  After Ledro, the exhibition arrives at MAG. The drawings highlight the deep wounds caused by war and the urgent need for peace.
  Open in the Rocca courtyard during museum opening hours.
  The exhibition will be on display until August 1.

JULY 30

• Perceiving the landscape through sound
  2:30 pm – Ledro, from the Church of S. Lucia in Pratis to Lake Ampola via the Gorg d’Abiss waterfall
  
  Meeting point: Church of Santa Lucia in Pratis
  The mountains—a place that, par excellence, should be a guardian of silence—are increasingly shaped by human activity and are becoming a destination for tourism that is sometimes carried out without full awareness. In recent years, the phrase “environmental tourism” has often been used as a term devoid of meaning and substance.
  Each of us, at least once while exploring mountainous terrain, has realized just how often silence is an integral part of the landscape.
  The experience offered on this hike aims to stimulate participants’ sensory perception of the sounds of these places, immersing them in the vast soundscape that fills the natural world.
  We will be guided by Simone Torresin and Giacomo Gozzi, the leaders of the “Silenzi in quota” project.

  8:30 pm | MUSE – Museum of the Pile Dwellings of Lake Ledro
  
  When we think of the mountains, we imagine boundless spaces where silence is a constant, invisible companion. But what happens when human-made noise invades these remote places? *Silenzi in Quota* was created to measure the mountain soundscape, using microphones and people as sensors to explore the fragile balance between nature and human activity.

• Landscape in Chinese and Japanese culture

  The philosophical dimension, the language of symbols, the description of natural phenomena and objects, the relationship between humankind and nature, nature and culture, culture and civilisation, stasis and change, harmony and balance, the natural and the unnatural. A lecture by Alberto De Simone, Director of CELSO, the Institute of Oriental Studies. Introduced by Salvatore Ferrari, art historian.

AUGUST 1

• Concert by Alessandro Sipolo
  9:00 pm | Parco del Conservatorio, Riva del Garda
  
  Alessandro Sipolo is a singer-songwriter who made his debut in 2013 with "Eppur bisogna andare", produced by Giorgio Cordini, Fabrizio De André’s long-standing guitarist. The album, a concept album on the theme of ‘resistance’ – understood in both a historical and an everyday sense – won the 2014 Beppe Gentile Award for best debut album. Following numerous successes, his fourth album was released in 2024 on the Freecom and LaPOP labels, in which he offers an ironic and bitter reflection on new forms of nationalism, whilst continuing to showcase a wide range of expression and the blending of musical genres. Alongside his musical career, he is actively involved in social causes; he is the founder and coordinator of the cultural festival "Umanità Migrante" and of the "Scuola Popolare Antimafia" in Brescia, established and run in collaboration with Professor Nando dalla Chiesa.

• Where has the landscape gone

  The landscape is under pressure. While widely recognised as a cultural value, its protection is increasingly challenging. The Trentino territory is deeply linked to its mountains, yet human activity is transforming them into urban like environments.
  Speakers include Manuela Baldracchi, Sara Favargiotti and Umberto Anesi.

OCTOBER 3

• Landscape, tourism and sustainability
  5:30 pm | Auditorium del Conservatorio, Riva del Garda
  
  The event explores tourism as a key pressure on landscapes. Stefania Cerutti introduces the topic through an original perspective inspired by the mathematical concept of the parabola, highlighting the relationship between environment, economy and tourism flows.
  Participants include Garda Dolomiti and representatives of the hospitality sector.
