Garda Trentino, where nature is mirrored in its lakes

One destination – a thousand images

The landscape here ranges from wide lake shores to rugged mountain peaks, interspersed with lemon trees, olive groves and Mediterranean woodlands. In Garda Trentino it is nature itself that sets the rhythm of the panorama, with the woods around Ledro, the fields of Comano and the vineyards of the Valle dei Laghi.

And, while Lake Garda is of course the favourite, other smaller lakes, such as Lake Tenno, Lake Lamar in the Valle dei Laghi and Lake Ledro will delight visitors with their vivid colours and peacefulness, while the River Sarca and the Varone waterfall also make fine attractions with the sounds of nature and gushing waters.

The wonderful scenery of nature parks, high plateaus and conservation areas are all reflected in the water – not to mention your camera!

riserva biosfera unesco alpi ledrensi & judicaria

Since 2016, the area of the Alpi Ledrensi Reserve and the Judicaria Ecomuseum has been recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In just thirty kilometres as the crow flies, the Biosphere territory spans a vertical drop of over 3,000 metres, encompassing a wide variety of landscapes—from the mountain peaks of the Brenta Dolomites to the agricultural terraces of the Tennese area overlooking Garda Trentino.

parco naturale adamello brenta

The Adamello Brenta Nature Park is the largest protected area in Trentino—a true biodiversity haven nestled between the majestic Brenta Dolomites (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Adamello glaciers. The park features panoramic trails, alpine huts, and routes for both trekking and mountain biking. One of its most enchanting areas is Val d’Algone.

parco fluviale sarca

The Sarca River Park stretches along the entire course of the river—from the Adamello glaciers all the way to Lake Garda—covering around 80 km. The route takes you through a rich variety of landscapes: from alpine valleys with dense spruce forests, to the lush lowlands at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, and finally to the shores of Lake Garda, dotted with vineyards and olive groves.

parco naturale monte baldo

It covers a vast area in the northern section of the Monte Baldo mountain range and is known for its extraordinary environmental diversity and abundance of rare species. Not by chance, Monte Baldo has earned the nickname “The Garden of Europe” thanks to its unique and remarkable flora.

“Nature is not a place to visit. It is home”

(Gary Snyder)

We firmly believe this, here in Garda Trentino and, every day, we work hard to take good care of our land. It is a necessary choice to make the place where we live as beautiful as possible so that it can be enjoyed all life long or even just for a few days, now and in the future.
Would you like to help us, too? It takes little to make a difference.

  • Take your waste home and throw it in separate collection bins
  • Reduce plastic: there are many more sustainable alternatives now
  • If you can, get around on foot or by bike. You'll notice many more details that you would miss when travelling by car!
  • Watch wildlife from afar. After all, Garda Trentino is their home too
  • Leave flowers, stones and fragments of history in their place: those who come after you will enjoy them too
  •  Immerse yourself in the local life and learn about traditions, cuisine and typical products. There is a universe of "km 0" to discover
  • When you leave, turn off the lights and the air conditioning and close the taps: energy and water are precious resources
  • The lake is tied to its shores: everything that falls into a drain goes straight into its waters. This is why you should only dispose of rubbish in the bins provided.
