Cycling requires special clothing and equipment. Even on relatively short and easy routes, it is always better to be well equipped to avoid unpleasant surprises and to cope with unexpected events such as a sudden storm or loss of energy: the unexpected is also part of the fun!
Also remember to assess the type of route you are riding, the places you want to cross, and the current season. Has it rained? Be careful! The paths become more slippery and you need to be more cautious.
What should you bring on a bike ride?
Always tell someone where you are going and how long you plan your outing.
