The old Ponale road is a real icon in Garda Trentino. Boldly carved into the rock face and suspended between the lake and mountains, every step you take is guaranteed to take your breath away. But that's not all: have you ever heard of the Tagliata del Ponale? It is a fort entirely dug into the rock face, and a marvel of Habsburg military engineering that’s just begging to open its doors and tell its fascinating story.

La guida, Ludovico, ci ha aiutato a ripercorrere i momenti storici più salienti di Riva del Garda, arricchiti da aneddoti curiosi ed interessanti per comprendere il senso di ciò che è rimasto. Visita molto bella e ben organizzata. Ludovico è stato una guida fantastica raccontando tanto della storia di Riva, sempre con simpatia e con aneddoti divertenti. I fortini e i corridoi illuminati facili da percorrere, tenuti bene ma lasciando un po' l'idea di come dovevano essere allora. Merita la visita.

Non sapevo cosa aspettarmi, volevo solo fare vedere le trincee ai miei figli ma il Ponale si è rivelato una meraviglia inaspettata, un patrimonio importante per tutti da non lasciare abbandonato, ma da riscoprire e permettere a tutti di visitare. La guida è stata eccelsa, molto ben preparata e abile trasmettitore degli eventi storici. Consiglio questa esperienza a tutti.
