Wines of Garda Trentino

Mountain wines, stories to savour

In Garda Trentino, wine is more than a product, it’s part of the landscape, culture and identity of the people who live here. From the Valle dei Laghi to the Cavedine Valley and the terraced vineyards of Tenno, every vine tells a story shaped by wind, sun and passion. And today, new chapters are being written at higher altitudes, in the Ledro Valley and the Comano area, where pioneering winemakers are exploring new horizons.

Here, wine tourism is simple and authentic: step into a small cellar, meet the people who work the land with care, and taste wines that truly speak of the place.

From Nosiola to Trentodoc, every glass has a story to tell: you only need a sip to feel part of it.

NOSIOLA

The only native white grape of Trentino, Nosiola finds its perfect home in the Valle dei Laghi. Its name recalls the hazelnut (“nocciola” in Italian), and for good reason: on the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of dried fruit and white flowers. Fresh, elegant and surprisingly versatile, Nosiola pairs beautifully with lake fish, vegetables and white meats.

From this same grape comes Vino Santo Trentino DOC, a precious dessert wine full of history and character.

rebo

One of the signature reds of the Valle dei Laghi, Rebo is a unique cross between Merlot and Teroldego, a grape born from Trentino’s own agronomic research. Today, it tells the story of the region’s most innovative side. Brilliant ruby red in colour, its bouquet brings notes of cherry, plum and wild berries. On the palate, it’s soft, round and full-bodied—perfect with rich dishes and red meats.

Tasting Rebo is like listening to the contemporary voice of Trentino wine: bold, expressive and deeply rooted in its land.

Subline

In Garda Trentino, the traditional method finds one of its finest expressions in Trentodoc, Trentino’s signature sparkling wine, created in 1993 and now a symbol of craftsmanship and quality. Thanks to the area’s unique microclimate, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes ripen with the perfect balance of sunshine, cool mountain air and lake breezes.

The bubbles are born in the bottle, slowly, through second fermentation—just as tradition demands. The result? A refined, fresh and characterful sparkling wine, perfect for toasting any moment.
