Vino Santo Trentino DOC is the most precious wine of Garda Trentino. Its name, “Holy Wine”, comes from its unique production process, which includes the traditional pressing of grapes during the week before Easter. Made exclusively in the Valle dei Laghi, this sweet wine uses only Nosiola, Trentino’s native white grape.
Its natural drying process, the longest in the world for a passito wine, its slow fermentation, and its extremely limited production make it truly special. It’s thus no surprise that it’s recognised as a Slow Food Presidium, a global project that protects traditional foods and sustainable production. This is a wine so special, it’s often called “the passito of all passiti”, a benchmark among dessert wines.
