An innovative museum in a space brimming with tradition.
This, in a nutshell, is the Casa Caveau del Vino Santo, a new interactive space dedicated to Vino Santo DOC, the "ultimate dessert wine". Here, in the old drying room in Padergnone, visitors can retrace the history and the process that leads to the creation of this product of excellence made in Garda Trentino, a Slow Food presidium.
From the cultivation of the Nosiola, an indigenous grape variety, to raisining on the arèle (the traditional racks on which the bunches are left to dry) to pressing and finally ageing, each step is described using images, voices and impressions.
Not forgetting the tasting experience, the crowning moment of every visit.
Casa Caveau can be the starting or finishing point of a veritable Vino Santo trail that winds its way from the museum to the Santa Massenza Lake Park.
