Description

A travelling masterclass through the vineyards, discovering the wines and flavours of Trentino and Piedmont.

A masterclass experienced on foot: five stops among the Rebo vineyards to compare two regions and their different expressions of wine, accompanied by the winemakers and Giuseppe Carrus from Gambero Rosso.

At each stop, a new comparison in the glass: four interpretations of Rebo and Reboro meet four Barbera wines, on a journey that begins with the characteristics of the grape varieties and explores their winemaking, evolution and ageing.

The fifth and final stop is dedicated to food pairings: a dish featuring specialities from Trentino and Piedmont, prepared by Nicolò Giovannazzi and Massimiliano Poli, brings the experience to a close by combining the flavours of the two regions.

Five stops, a journey through wine

1. The origins of the grape varieties
A young, robust and enveloping Rebo meets a young Barbera characterised by its freshness.

2. The winemaking process
A structured Rebo with balsamic notes and velvety tannins is paired with a Barbera combining fresh red-fruit notes with hints of spice.

3. From the vineyard to drying the grapes
An evolving Reboro, with intense aromas of jam and sweet spices, meets a Barbera aged for a long time in barriques, with warm and enveloping notes.

4. The profile of Reboro and Barbera di Nizza
A classic Reboro, full-bodied, warm and persistent, with hints of cocoa and tobacco, meets a highly structured Barbera di Nizza DOCG.

5. Traditional pairings
A dish bringing together specialities from both regions, prepared by Nicolò Giovannazzi and Massimiliano Poli.
