The Youth World Championship (YWCH) is one of the most prestigious events on the IFSC calendar, an international competition of the highest level dedicated to the world’s top young talents in sport climbing.
The Federal Technical Center of Arco, recently renovated, provides the ideal venue for an event of this importance, offering state-of-the-art facilities within a setting of sporting excellence.
Arco boasts a long and well-established tradition in hosting international sport climbing events. In addition to welcoming the first Paraclimbing World Championships in 2011, the city was a regular stop on the IFSC World Cup Series for six consecutive seasons (from 2012 to 2019), hosted three Paraclimbing World Cups (2012, 2013 and 2014), and two Youth World Championships (2015 and 2019), confirming its role as a global reference point for climbing.
The Youth World Championships will welcome approximately 650 athletes in the Under 17 and Under 19 categories from around 60 countries, accompanied by about 180 coaches, team officials and medical staff. Overall, the event is expected to involve more than 1,000 participants and around 100 event staff members.
The competition will take place over eight days, from 18 to 25 July 2026, featuring an intense and high-level sporting program.
