Una polenta per la Pace

The Ledro Valley comes together in a concrete gesture of solidarity and hope to support all victims of conflicts around the world.

Three Days for Peace is an initiative that brings the community together through moments of reflection, sport and sharing. The Peace Lamp will travel through the Ledro Valley, accompanying a programme of events dedicated to the value of peace and to the small actions each of us can take in everyday life.

The initiative will conclude on Sunday with a community gathering in Pieve di Ledro and the Polenta concia for Peace.

Programme

• Thursday 24 September 
  
  6:30 pm
  From Bar della Ponale, an athlete from Ledro will carry the Peace Lamp to the Lake Ledro Pile Dwelling Museum.
  
  8:00 pm
  At the Pile Dwelling Museum, meeting “Around the fire to talk about peace”.
  Paolo Fedrigotti will speak about the reasons for peace, followed by Avvenire journalist Antonella Mariani, who will discuss the petition for the Nobel Peace Prize for the children of Gaza and the situation of women in conflicts.
   

• Saturday 26 September
  
  6:00 pm
  Holy Mass in Bezzecca for Peace and welcoming of the light. The Peace Lamp will be brought into the church.
   

• Sunday 27 September
  
  8:00 am
  Departure from the Lake Ledro Pile Dwelling Museum for the relay by Ledro athletes, passing through the different Pro Loco associations of the valley before reaching Pieve di Ledro.
  
  11:30 am
  Arrival of the athletes, a moment of reflection and music by the Ledro Band.
  
  12:30 pm
  Polenta concia for Peace.

All proceeds from the day will be entirely donated to Médecins Sans Frontières and Emergency.
