Lake Garda is a complex ecosystem. Within just a few kilometres, it encompasses Mediterranean vegetation and Alpine pastures, fish fauna made up of endemic and non-native species, as well as unique and high-quality grape varieties. A remarkable concentration of biodiversity, balanced in a fragile equilibrium between human pressure, tourism and the climate crisis.
Understanding this balance also means learning to recognise it in the flavours the region offers: every product tells a story of a microclimate, a tradition and the choices of those who cultivate or harvest it, respecting its rhythms and resources.
The Taste Workshop, curated by Slow Food, offers a tasting journey aimed at discovering this biodiversity, helping to understand its importance and encouraging us to take care of it. An opportunity to taste, recognise and tell the story of Garda through its products, following the philosophy that has always guided Slow Food: good, clean and fair.
