One of the finest pianists of his generation, with thirteen albums recorded as a leader, Joey Calderazzo has journeyed from child prodigy to a key member of the world’s leading jazz ensembles.
He has performed alongside legends such as Michael Brecker, Branford Marsalis, Jack DeJohnette and Dave Holland.
Throughout his remarkable career, he has released numerous albums, including The Traveler (1993), Simply Music (1997), Joey Calderazzo (1999), Live (2011) and Going Home (2015), collaborating with some of the most respected musicians in jazz.
Accompanied by Orlando Le Fleming on double bass and Donald Edwards on drums, Calderazzo presents a live performance that blends original compositions with selected reinterpretations. His music reflects a broad and expressive vision of jazz, combining blues, swing, post bop and boundary exploring improvisation.
