Geografie

The castle of Arco, long a setting for events and performances, becomes with the Geografie festival a meeting place for cultures, musical languages and traditions from around the world.

The project aims to explore, in each edition, a different geographical and cultural area through artists able to combine tradition with contemporary research.
A musical journey through identities and influences, with an open view toward the present.

The first edition, featuring three events in summer 2026, is dedicated to the music of Eastern Europe, a region rich in influences and experimentation.

• June 29 - Goran Bregović
  One of the most important artists on the international scene performs at the castle with his historic The Wedding & Funeral Band. The Balkan composer, known for bringing Eastern European sounds to the world, blends brass bands, folk music, rock and orchestral writing. The concert, part of the tour The Belly Button of the World, also has a symbolic value, recalling the first major cultural event hosted at the castle in 2001.
   
• July 3 - Ladaniva
  An Armenian duo among the most interesting acts of the new European world music scene, presenting an energetic and contemporary sound that combines Armenian folk, French chanson, reggae and global rhythms. The project was born from the meeting between the voice of Jaklin Baghdasaryan and the musical sensitivity of Louis Thomas, creating a style that is both distinctive and open to fusion.
   
• July 9 - Mandili
  The Georgian female trio Mandili closes the festival with a concert that reinterprets Georgian polyphonic tradition, a cultural heritage recognised by UNESCO. Their performances, characterised by simplicity and immediacy, blend vocal and acoustic sounds, winning over an increasingly wide international audience.
