The concert Celesti Armonie offers a musical and spiritual journey through some of the most significant expressions of Italian sacred music, from medieval devotional songs to refined compositions of the early 17th century.
The initiative aims to enhance the historical, artistic and religious heritage of the Inviolata Church in Riva del Garda, one of the most important examples of Baroque sacred architecture in Trentino, where art, faith and beauty have been in harmony for over four centuries.
The event is designed to offer both residents and visitors a high level cultural experience, combining musicological research, interpretative quality and emotional involvement.
The exceptional acoustics and the monumental value of the church provide the ideal setting for rediscovering a repertoire originally conceived for liturgical and contemplative spaces.
The programme includes a selection of works from La Ghirlanda Sacra (Venice, 1625), featuring music by Claudio Monteverdi, Alessandro Grandi and Giovanni Pietro Berti, alongside medieval laude from the Laudario di Cortona (13th century) and Gregorian antiphons.
The performance creates a dialogue between the human voice and historical instruments, recreating the sound world of sacred music between the late Middle Ages and the early Baroque period.
Special attention is given to the expressive and meditative dimension of the repertoire, making the concert not only a musical event but a true experience of listening and contemplation.
