Israeli-American clarinetist and saxophonist Anat Cohen has explored a wide musical spectrum since 2005 through her own label, Anzic Records, balancing projects that range from intimate small ensembles to large formations. She has earned multiple Grammy Award nominations, including for Triple Helix with her Tentet, and has dedicated several albums to Brazilian music, notably Outra Coisa and Rosa Dos Ventos. In 2024, she released her 21st album, Bloom, with the group Quartetinho.
For over 15 consecutive years, Anat has been named Clarinetist of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association and has consistently topped DownBeat polls. The New York Times called her “a revelation,” recognizing her as the leading advocate for the clarinet in contemporary jazz.
