Anello di Mori Alta Loop

The route does not present particular technical difficulties, but caution is advised on the downhill section after Manzano, on the strada delle Laste, as it is gravelly and with some fairly steep parts that can be slippery.

Mori, church of Santo Stefano

Starting from the center of Mori, in the main square near the church of Santo Stefano, one heads towards the Sanctuary of Montalbano, which stands on the ruins of the ancient Castelbarco castle. After a necessary visit, continue following trail F20 on what is the first stage of the Cammino di San Rocco towards the village of Nomesino, passing in front of the San Valentino Shrine. Upon reaching the village, the church of San Martino is visible, and the path continues along the Roman Road leading to Manzano and its church of Sant'Antonio. Then descend back towards Mori continuing on trail F20 via the strada delle Laste, entering the woods beside World War I military trenches, with particular attention to the gravelly section. Leaving the woods, you encounter various vineyards that accompany you up to the start of the town of Mori, then always keep left and continue the last few hundred meters on the paved via S. Bernardino, in the town center, passing the Grigolli winery and the church of Santa Maria Assunta with its characteristic bell tower in the middle of the small square. Continue on the narrow via Scipione which leads between dry stone walls and old houses of the old village until reaching the main road which, with its sidewalk, brings you back to the starting point.

Dress appropriately depending on the season, with a backpack and a water bottle (there will be refreshment points and fountains along the route, but they are not always open), comfortable walking boots, a waterproof jacket, and a change of clothes.
