The tradition of celebrating the "son of the wind" is renewed this year with a special dinner featuring a delicious three-course menu that highlights this extraordinary vegetable, paired with typical products of Trentino cuisine.
Despite being a Mediterranean plant, the Broccolo di Torbole thrives just a few kilometres from snow-covered mountains in the heart of winter. This small miracle is thanks to the proximity of Lake Garda and the moderating influence of the Pelèr, the wind that blows from the northeast. For this reason, the Broccolo di Torbole is known as the "son of the wind."
