The IT.A.CÀ network returns to the territories for its 17th edition and once again promotes, in a shared way, the philosophy that inspires the Festival. It organizes many events across the country—a single great journey from the North to the South of Italy. This edition is full of events and involves 11 regions for a total of 20 stages.
Among the new stages this year is Valle di Ledro and Giudicarie Esteriori – Biosphere Reserve.
From July 12 to 20, and again from October 11 to 25, a rich program will take shape: walks, concerts, talks, exhibitions, and readings—a true journey through forms of natural and cultural biodiversity.
An opportunity to rediscover the deeper meaning of slow travel, listening, and respect for places and the people who inhabit them.
The second part of the IT.A.CÀ – Festival of Responsible Tourism, now in its 17th edition, begins with a focus on concrete actions that support a more conscious and sustainable approach to tourism.
In the first part of the event, some of the core values of responsible tourism were explored: cooperation, hospitality, and respect.
Cooperation is seen as the attitude that every tourist, guest, or traveler should adopt towards the territories they visit. Their contribution should aim to improve the social, economic, and environmental conditions of local communities.
Hospitality is the attitude that host communities should embrace — not by selling off their territories, but by showcasing and preserving memories, cultures, and values.
Respect for the environment must serve as the foundation for all actions, both from travelers and from the local communities themselves.
This second phase focuses on two main themes: soft mobility and the coexistence between humans and nature.
On October 11, a day will be dedicated to cycling and reflection on cycling infrastructure and environmental issues. Participants will travel together along roads and trails, joyfully combining physical activity with moments of shared reflection — all set against the stunning backdrop of Ledro–Arco–Riva del Garda.
On October 25, in the picturesque village of Canale di Tenno, the morning will be dedicated to exploring the future of the region, with particular attention to sustainability and hospitality. The event will open with talks from experts offering insights into innovative, sustainable tourism, with a special focus on the coexistence between humans and nature.
Italy’s first and most important festival dedicated to responsible travel. It encourages slow exploration on foot or by bike, reducing environmental impact while discovering places in an authentic way.
It supports local communities, natural and cultural biodiversity, and practices that respect both the land and the people who live there. Every stop is an invitation to explore with awareness and help build a more sustainable future.
Mindful Events - A different way to experience the area—more authentic, more conscious, more sustainable.
These events embrace practices that reduce environmental impact, promote inclusion and people’s well-being, and support the local economy through ethical and responsible choices.
