Guerilla Live represents for Dro a new and much-needed way of creating social connection through live music. Born as a response to the socio-cultural aridity left by the pandemic, the event offers a blend of unplugged music and shared moments, with the aim of revitalising a true musical service for the local community and for a growing tourist audience increasingly interested in national and international music offerings.
The series was launched in 2021 to encourage people to return to public spaces during the summer months and to support a steadily increasing flow of visitors. Over time, it has developed into a structured programme of semi-acoustic concerts, now featuring eight events spread across July and August. Rather than a single concentrated festival weekend, Guerilla Live is a continuous presence throughout the entire summer.
At the heart of Guerilla Live is the park at Via Battisti 11 in Dro, which has become an important meeting point for the local community of Dro and the Alto Garda area, as well as for numerous tourists, particularly those visiting for outdoor activities such as climbing and mountain biking. In a region where volunteer-run public spaces are becoming increasingly rare, this venue holds significant social and cultural value.
On stage, bands made up of musician members of the Sonà association, based in the adjacent venue, perform alongside guest artists from the national and, at times, international music scene. The musical programme is diverse while remaining unplugged, ranging from pop and cover songs to rock and Italian music, offering the audience a high-quality live music experience.
