A route to discover the mountain rural economy of the villages of Fiavé and Favrio, whose main products are milk and all its derivatives.
The Milk Trail starts from Fiavé and heads towards the small village of Favrio, crosses a stretch of woods and returns to the starting point after skirting the peat bog nature reserve. Along the route, you will find small and large barns, green meadows, cornfields, and woods, some of which, in the good season, are grazing land for animals.
Not to be missed: the villages of Fiavé and Favrio with typical rural architecture, especially the fascinating pont and ère, large spaces located on the first floor of farmhouses, once used for storing hay and fodder, the dairies, the slopes of the mountains formerly used as pasture.
A small detour through the peat bog allows you to reach the Parco Archeo Natura, an archaeological area and UNESCO Heritage Site since 2011.
The emergency phone number is 112.

From Favrio square we follow Via San Zeno up to the church, where we turn right onto Via Stumiaga. After a few meters, on the left we take the small road that descends towards the hamlet of Stumiaga. We cross the village and reach the main road. On the other side of the road, we take the farm road towards the cemetery and then turn right to follow the small road running parallel to the main road. After about 1 km, near a large barn, the route sharply curves and continues to climb towards Favrio. Having reached the little church of San Biagio, we take the road on the right and enter the woods. The route overlaps with the SAT433 trail for about 500 m, but soon we leave it and take the track on the right. After an up and down of about 1 km, we meet the main road again, cross it to take the small road between the peat bog and the barn. Before reaching Lake Carera, we turn right to return to Fiavé.
Fiavè is connected to the other Garda Trentino centers by the extra-urban bus line 211 (Riva del Garda - Tenno - Fiavè - Ponte Arche).
From Ponte Arche (Comano Terme) follow signs for Fiavè. On the state road 421 at the junction, take the right road leading to the town center, to the parish church of San Sebastiano.
Free parking at the Fiavé tennis court.
This hike is quite easy and has no particular difficulties. However, we recommend wearing appropriate footwear and bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Don't forget water.
