You must wear the right clothing and bring the appropriate equipment when hiking in the mountains. Even on relatively short and easy outings, make sure to take everything necessary to avoid difficulties if something unexpected happens, such as a thunderstorm or a sudden drop in energy.
What should you bring when you go hiking?
Your backpack (for a day trip a capacity of 25/30L should be enough) should contain:
Make sure to wear the right footwear for the trail and the season. The ground can become rough and rocky underfoot, and a pair of hiking boots will protect you from sprains. When wet, a grassy slope, a rock slab or a steep path can be dangerous unless you wear appropriate footwear.
Finally... don’t forget to bring your camera! You'll need it to capture the breathtaking scenery you'll encounter throughout Garda Trentino. And if you want, you can share your memories with us at #GardaTrentino.
