The path is situated in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, not far from the natural area of Rio Bianco, a beautiful waterfall of white sparkling water that springs from a high mountain source. The itinerary starts from La Cros, enters the woods, with here and there works of art made with natural materials by the BoscoArteStenico Association. The vegetation in this wood is characterised by bushes of hazelnut, acacia, juniper, wild cherry, hawthorn, blackthorn, flowering ash, oak, elder, hornbeam, viburnum, but also beech, ash and birch. BAS’s symbol is found along the path: a large wooden camera lens that frames Stenico Castle and the Giudicarie Esteriori valley. Stenico Castle is one of the most important in Trentino: it was a political, administrative and legal centre of the area for more than eight centuries, where the Captain, appointed by the Bishopric of Trento, lived. Following the indications of the BoscoArteStenico, continue along the entire length of the path which is enriched each year with new installations.

The area around Comano is connected by the intercity bus lines 211 (Riva del Garda - Tenno - Fiavè - Ponte Arche) and 201 (Trento - Ponte Arche - Campiglio – Tione) to the other places in Garda Trentino. Link between Ponte Arche and Stenico via the 208 bus line.

From Ponte Arche/Comano Terme go in the direction of Stenico, then follow the path from the natural area Rio Bianco or from loc. La Cross, just above the church of Stenico (4 km).

This excursion is quite simple and presents no particular difficulty. However, we still recommend you to wear suitable footwear, a hat, sun screen and sunglasses. And be sure to bring water!
