The Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Dasindo houses some of the most important pictorial works by the Baschenis family in the Giudicarie Esteriori area.
Although the first documented mention of the church dates back to 1251, when it appears in a written record, its construction is believed to have occurred a couple of centuries earlier, around the 10th–11th century.
In the 15th century, the presbytery was decorated by Simone II Baschenis, marking the beginning of a period of expansion and renewal of the church's decorative elements.
Other significant interventions took place in the aftermath of World War I, with graffito decorations by Giorgio Wenter Marini.
Since 1923, the church’s northern side has housed the funerary monument of Giovanni Prati, a poet born in Dasindo.
