Directions
Our starting point is in
Arco. We follow the cycle path until the northern edge of the old town. From there, we proceed along Via Caproni Maini after crossing the bridge. We continue straight past the Roman Bridge in Ceniga to our right and continue to the next bridge near Dro. We do not cross this bridge but keep left, following the main road for a few dozen metres. MTB signs tell us where to turn left. We take the dirt road, following it to the junction for
Lake Bagattoli. We keep right here, heading down towards the charming pond, before continuing on to the state road. Keeping left, we follow the road in the direction of Pietramurata. Shortly after passing the nearby station, we turn right, taking the cycle path at the Centrale di Fies. We reach Pietramurata and finally Sarche. At the end of the cycle path, we keep left, cross the bridge, and follow the state road in the direction of
Comano Terme. We climb a few hairpin bends before arriving at the entrance to the cycle path in the gorge on our right. We follow it all the way to the end, and then continue again on the state road. After a few hundred metres, we descend down the dirt track to Balandin Bridge on the right. After crossing the picturesque, suspended bridge, we head up the other side of the gorge, to Ponte dei Servi. We cross this bridge and then continue on for a few hundred metres in the direction of Sarche. We take a sharp right onto a small road that leads into the woods, until we reach the stables. Keeping left, we continue straight on, until we get to the village of Godenzo. After passing the church, we stay slightly to the right and descend until we meet the provincial road 213. We cross the road and enter the village of
Poia. Keeping left, we leave the village in a southerly direction, parallel to the provincial road, along a small country road. We continue straight on at the first fork and then bear right at the second. We descend into the valley of Torrente Dal, and head back to
Campo Lomaso. Once we reach the state road, we keep right and shortly arrive at Villa Campo. After passing the entrance to the impressive villa, we turn left, following its walls, and then continue south on a dirt road through the fields. We cycle along the entire dirt road, then turn right towards the forest lining the fields. The signs for the route to Stumiaga lead us past a quaint farm and onto another dirt track. At the next intersection, we meet a paved road and keep right, continuing straight on quiet country roads, until we come out on Via Bleggio. We then cross the road towards the farm, where we pass a crucifix. Keeping left, we continue on the dirt road in the direction of the town of
Cornelle. Once we are on this little road, we continue straight into the woods with a few pleasant climbs and descents, until we meet the state road. We are now in the vicinity of Passo del Ballino. Following the road, shortly after crossing
Lake Tenno, we meet a roundabout where we take the first exit, continuing along the cycle path towards Pranzo. At the traffic lights at the entrance to the village, we turn left through the centre of town and join the main road. We climb for a few metres and cross the main road, taking the small road that leads us down past the chestnut trees, with Tenno Castle right ahead of us. Once back at the provincial road, we cross it and climb for a few dozen metres onto Via dei Molini, which we follow until we reach Tenno Castle.
At the intersection in front of the castle, we keep right, following the state road for a few dozen metres downhill, which we leave immediately, taking the smaller road on our left. Climbing slightly uphill, we enter Garda and, keeping to the right, take the Strada del Pil that leads us to Volta di No. Following the cycle path to the left of the main road, we continue to the nearby village of Cologna. Once at the hairpin bend, we keep right, taking Via del Capitelli, before descending through the olive trees to the Cascata del Varone. Following the main road, we reach an intersection with a traffic light. Turning left, and then immediately right, we take the cycle path that leads back to the beaches of Riva del Garda. Following the cycle path that runs along the lake, we reach Torbole and then return to our starting point.
