I'm Massimo Gheda, and my two greatest passions are teaching yoga and sailing. Having practiced both for over a decade, I've found the perfect setting to indulge my passions - the picturesque Garda Trentino, with its rich cultural heritage and abundant natural beauty.
Based at the Rocca di Riva del Garda, we will have the pleasure of sailing in the luxury of La Perla, a 54″ Irwin boat with a catch-arm and therefore two masts, made in the USA. This boat is finely finished with a wooden interior, leather upholstery, a large galley with a capacious refrigerator. There are 4 cabins, from the master double with private bathroom to the single with shared bathroom. It is possible to sleep 7 comfortably and sail 10+2.
THE PROGRAM
The programme provides numerous possible solutions within the weekend to meet individual needs. You can experience a single day as well as the whole weekend. During the weekend you can also choose different sleeping arrangements. There are three proposals for overnight stays on the boat. They start with the single cabin with shared bathroom, the double cabin with reserved bathroom to be shared with the single cabin owner, and the third and most exclusive solution is the master cabin with reserved bathroom. Navigation is limited to the northern area of Lake Garda, with the possibility of going ashore for a panoramic tour of the delightful and romantic village of Limone del Garda (BS). In the mornings, as soon as we wake up, we practice yoga on the lawn of the Rocca di Riva del Garda.
Breakfast consumed on board is a convivial moment useful for savouring slow and natural rhythms. Navigation lasts all day, the spaces are very wide and the possibility of moving around on board La Perla are truly unique in the nautical world. We will eat lunch while sailing with everyone's dietary requirements. The day is interspersed with snacks and moments of sharing and experiencing sailing. There will also be safe swimming in the middle of the lake.
In the afternoon, we return to base, at the Fortress, for an afternoon practice of haṭha yoga or meditation. Dinner on board is another important moment for people to get together. Afterwards, the evening is free to spend in peace and quiet on board or disembarking and taking a stroll through the streets of the historic centre of Riva del Garda, rich in fascinating historic architecture, bars and restaurants of all kinds and tastes, in each case with the possibility of gazing at the beauty of the lake that in the evening reflects the lights of the towns that overlook it. Each day we will follow different itineraries to offer variability to the proposal. Decisions are at the captain's discretion, subject to weather and safety conditions.
We have the opportunity to navigate and visit three different regions, Alto Garda is the convergence point of Trentino, Lombardy and Veneto, with their history, traditions and landscapes. Massimo and Carlotta will be your guides.
During the outings you will be able to collaborate in on-board activities, learning the rudiments of seamanship, trying to steer, adjust sails, and more while having fun. Even in the evening, dinner is served on board and then, being in the centre of the town, there is free time to go ashore. There is a wide choice of local restaurants. The proposal is to stay on the boat, but for those who prefer it is also possible to arrive in the morning or sleep in a campsite, flat, B&B or hotel.
This can be a good solution if you want to come accompanied by friends or relatives who are not sailing enthusiasts. There are numerous cycle paths, trekking routes, towns with ancient villages to visit and shopping. A few kilometres away is the alpine lake of Ledro and the Varone waterfalls. There are numerous wine cellars, oil and limoncello producers to visit and taste. In the harbour there is the possibility of scuba diving and not far away there are kite-surfing, wind-surfing and sup rental centres. We can say that the area is so rich in proposals that it is practically impossible to get bored.

FRIDAY
Boat check-in at 18:00.
Haṭha yoga or meditation practice on the lawn overlooking the lake from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
Overnight stay on the boat.
SATURDAY
Haṭha yoga or meditation practice 08:00 on the lawn in front of the lake, followed by breakfast on the boat.
Check-in boat 08:45 (for those arriving on Saturday morning).
Departure from the harbour 09:00.
Return to the harbour at approx. 17:30.
After a relaxing break ashore, there will be a haṭha yoga or meditation practice on the lake-view lawn from 18:30 to 19:30.
SUNDAY
Haṭha yoga or meditation practice 8 a.m. on the lawn in front of the lake, followed by breakfast on the boat.
Check-in boat 08:45 (for those arriving on Sunday morning).
Departure from the harbour 09:00.
Return to the harbour at approx. 17:30.
Boat check-out at 18:00.
After a break to relax on the ground, there will be a haṭha yoga or meditation practice on the lawn overlooking the lake from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
