Just three minutes for an unforgettable trip!
This, in fact, is all the time it takes to reach the Venetian Bastion in the brand new inclined panoramic lift.
The lift has a panoramic cabin made entirely of glass: a trick that allows you to admire the panorama of the centre and Lake Garda in all its splendour. The route is based on the idea of the chairlift built in the 1950s and dismantled at the beginning of the 1980s, with a few changes to the original. The current route, in fact, has been moved north, directly under the Bastion, to make the view from the cabin even more spectacular.
The ascent is 208 metres long with a difference in altitude of 130 metres and takes about three exciting minutes. On arrival, you immediately encounter the Bastione Lounge & Restaurant, the ideal place for an aperitif or dinner with a breathtaking view.
A few steps away is the Bastion, the Venetian tower that has become one of the icons of Riva del Garda. Built by the Serenity Republic of Venice between 1507 and 1508 to guard the border with the Episcopal Principality of Trent, today it is one of the town's most popular destinations. Those who love walking can reach the centre from the Bastion along a path that takes about 20 minutes.
