Blue di Giada is a musical project conceived by opera singer Giada Bucci, stemming from the world of bel canto. With meticulous research and analysis, she delves into the various women who take centre stage in the works of Puccini, Verdi, Bellini, and Massenet. This initiative, spearheaded by the talented singer from Merano, who was once a student of Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, reimagines the most famous lyrical repertoires. Stripping away the original sound, arias from operas like La Traviata or La Bohème are adapted into a Latin jazz fusion, bringing to life the love, jealousy, joy, and madness expressed by these female characters. These new arrangements offer captivating listening experiences, providing insights and reflections to better understand the world of women in opera.
Line-up:
Giada Bucci - vocals
Gigi Grata - trombone, percussion, and backing vocals
Giuliano Cramerotti - guitar
Roberto Dellantonio - bass guitar and backing vocals
