I Castelli della Luna is a cultural and experiential project that tells the story of places – especially castles and historical sites – through the charm of legends and an ongoing dialogue between territory, history, and collective imagination.
Each event is conceived as a true narrative journey. At the heart of the experience is Fra-Terno, a storyteller dressed in monastic robes, who guides the audience through tales, mysteries, and local traditions. The storytelling is enriched by complementary formats, including tastings of local products, created in collaboration with local producers such as Deges, Cantine Torboli, Marzadro, Agraria di Riva del Garda, and other local partners.
Within the “storytelling of places,” a theatrical activity dedicated to children is always included: boys and girls become protagonists of the narration, interpreting one or more local legends through specially created silhouettes. At the most easily accessible sites, a dedicated children’s area is also guaranteed, featuring gadgets, a themed bookshop, coloring activities, and small workshops, ensuring an engaging and inclusive experience for the whole family.
Most events take place outdoors, often among ruins or highly evocative locations. For this reason, dates may be subject to change, although a nearby support location is almost always provided.
Through legendary figures such as ghosts, fairies, witches, ogres, and other folkloric creatures, I Castelli della Luna offers an innovative and captivating interpretation of the territory, the result of decades of study and research. The project captures and reinterprets the collective imagination, creating events shared with cultural associations and private partners, and generating steadily growing interest over the years.
