A formidable quartet, united for the first time in Europe. Peter Erskine, a global jazz icon, has written beautiful chapters in musical history. He embarked on his professional career at the young age of 18 with the Stan Kenton Orchestra, but it was with Weather Report that the myth truly began. Together with Jaco Pastorius, Joe Zawinul, and Wayne Shorter, he became an integral member during the golden era of the ultimate Fusion Band. They recorded five albums, including the renowned live album 8.30, which earned them a Grammy Award.
On this occasion, we will have the pleasure of hearing him accompanied by exceptional musicians. Alan Pasqua on piano, with collaborations alongside the most important jazz musicians of the late 20th century. Darek Oles on double bass, who has accompanied the likes of Brad Mehldau, Pat Metheny, and John Abercrombie, and George Garzone on saxophone, a member of the jazz trio The Fringe and an esteemed teacher at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
