“Bird Lives Again !” New Project Orchestra Charlie Parker Tribute. Multimedia Opening with Seasaw Project.
New Project Orchestra with arranger and guitarist Roberto Spadoni, paying tribute to the protagonist of one of the most important and influential revolutions to shake the jazz world.
Charlie Parker, famously known as “Bird” due to his soaring musical talent (or perhaps his love for fried chicken), played a pivotal role in one of the most significant and influential revolutions that shook the jazz world: the emergence of Bebop. He became an absolute icon of this genre. The New Project Orchestra is fortunate to have the invaluable contribution of Roman arranger and guitarist Roberto Spadoni, who has been involved in numerous orchestral projects over the past decade. He recently paid homage to the great musician with the album Birds Lives Again, which features timeless compositions like “Ornithology”, “Scrapple From the Apple”, “My Little Suede Shoes”, and “Confirmation” – masterpieces that ignite the hearts of jazz enthusiasts. The concert is enriched by Roberto Spadoni's captivating narratives, offering insights and anecdotes about Charlie Parker's personal, historical, and artistic background.
In addition, the contemporary dance and physical theatre company Seasaw Project will grace the stage, engaging in a harmonious dialogue with the mesmerizing melodies of “Bird”.
