The route starts from the locality La Cros with a slight ascent and goes into the forest, scattered with works of art made from natural materials thanks to an initiative of the BoscoArteStenico Association. The vegetation of this forest is characterized by hazel bushes, acacia, juniper, wild cherry, hawthorn, blackthorn, oriello, downy oak, elderberry, hornbeam, viburnum, but also beech, ash and birch.

Along the path is the symbol work of BAS: a large wooden photographic lens that frames the Stenico castle and the valley of the Outer Giudicarie in the background. Stenico castle is one of the main castles in Trentino: for more than 8 centuries it was indeed the political, administrative and judicial center of the entire valley, where the captain lived, directly appointed by the Prince-Bishop of Trento.

The Comano area is connected to the other Garda Trentino centers by the suburban bus lines 211 (Riva del Garda - Tenno - Fiavè - Ponte Arche) and 201 (Trento - Ponte Arche - Campiglio – Tione). The connection between Ponte Arche and Stenico is assured by line 208.

From Ponte Arche/Comano Terme continue to Stenico, follow the path starting from the Rio Bianco nature area or directly from the locality La Cros, above the church of Stenico (4 km).

Parking just outside the village of Stenico, near the Rio Bianco waterfall, or at the entrance of BoscoArteStenico.

This hike is quite easy and does not present particular difficulties. However, we recommend wearing appropriate footwear and bringing a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses. Don't forget water.
