Cycling requires special clothing and equipment. Even on relatively short and easy routes, it is always better to be well equipped to avoid unpleasant surprises and cope with unexpected events such as a sudden storm or loss of energy: the unexpected is also part of the fun!

Also remember to assess the type of route you are cycling on, the places you want to pass through, and the current season. Has it rained? Be careful! The paths become slippery and require more caution.

What should you bring on a bike ride?

• Sufficient water supply according to your own needs (considering temperature, refilling options, length, and duration of the route)
• Snacks (e.g., dried fruit or bars)
• Windproof and waterproof jacket
• Spare shirt and socks
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Bike gloves
• Map or GPS device
• Flashlight, preferably attached to the helmet or handlebar (an unexpected or technical failure can lengthen the excursion times)
• First aid kit
• Bike repair kit for mechanical breakdowns
• Signal whistle
