For ages, this path was the most important route of communication between Riva del Garda and Tione and Val Rendena. This paved road/dirt track goes from Larido to Durone Pass and it was one of the first routes used to promote and divulgate by the cooperative system of Val Rendena and Val del Chiese. In 1890 it acquired more relevance due to the foundation of the first cooperative in Villa di Bleggio. Author’s tip: along the path you will find: the first Cassa Rurale and the first Cooperative House in Larido, a wide green grassland surrounded by mountains, at the Durone Pass, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Rango.

This is a ring-shaped itinerary, starting from the village of Larido, where you can find a little carpark near the Museum of the Cooperation. This museum hosts a permanent exhibition about the story of the cooperation in Trentino, with descriptive panels and historical photographs from the late years of 1800 to our days. Leave the village behind and take a dirt road immersed in the green forest that will lead you to Duron pass. From here you can go to the little Church of Saint Albert, a peculiar sign of faith built in the middle of the wood by the Alpine soldiers. On your way back you will cross the picturesque burg of Rango, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and then, through narrow paths, drywalls and fences, you will arrive at the starting point.
From Ponte Arche/Comano Terme follow the signs to Bleggio and after about 6 kilometers, you will reach Larido.

This excursion is quite simple and presents no particular difficulty. However, we still recommend you to wear suitable footwear, a hat, sun screen and sunglasses. And be sure to bring water!
