Lake-fish and breeding fish for unique and tasty recipes
The freshwaters of Lake Garda and Lake Ledro are full of ichthyic species suitable to various cooking preparations for arousing the most demanding palates. Some examples? Only in Lake Garda you can find the famous and rare Carpione (autochthonous variety of carp), along with fish such as trout and whitefish, especially of the lavarello variety (we recommend it baked into delicious meatballs!), bleak, sardines, pike, tench, perch and eel, excellent grilled. A priceless treasure, which you can also find in the close Lake Ledro and Lake Tenno, each one with unique peculiarities, and in the river Sarca (where abound, especially in the medium-low waterway, the roach fish and the barbel).
Very important is the breeding of char and trout (rainbow trout or brown trout), recognised as a IGP-Product, which is here carried out in observance of ancient traditions combined with the most modern techniques, always in uncontaminated fresh waters.
