Rock Master, one of the most historic and prestigious climbing competitions in the world, is preparing in 2026 to continue the renewal process launched with the 2025 edition.
The goal is to transform Rock Master into a true climbing festival-event, combining competition, entertainment and participation, fully aligned with the outdoor identity of Garda Trentino.
The three-day format allows for an expanded program and a balanced distribution of the different target audiences: enthusiasts, families, amateur athletes and media.
At the heart of Rock Master remains the challenge between the world’s top eight male and top eight female athletes, competing in the Boulder and Lead disciplines.

In 2026, Rock Master will celebrate a historic milestone: 40 years of climbing events in Arco.
It all began in 1986, at the foot of Mount Colodri, on natural rock with Sport Roccia. In 1987, the event moved beneath the walls of Arco Castle and took the name Rock Master, immediately becoming part of climbing history. But it was in 1988, with the creation of the Climbing Stadium, that the competition found its definitive home: an artificial structure purpose-built to host high-level climbing competitions in a dedicated, permanent venue – the first of its kind in the world.
