Rifugio Pernici was built to house Austrian officers engaged on the front of the First World War, the so-called white war. Today snow no longer means hardship and death, but beauty and fun!

Snow does not always cover the entire route. Snowshoes may be needed only from a certain point onward.

From the parking lot, go down Via alla Vasca and turn left onto Via dell’Albertoca. Near the sawmill, take the road leading to Malga Trat. Continue to Bocca di Trat and from there follow the path to Rifugio Pernici.
