In Santa Massenza, a widespread theater to discover the soul of Trentino artisanal grappa.
From December 5 to 8, 2025, Santa Massenza – a small jewel of the Valle dei Laghi and the “capital of artisanal grappa” – transforms into a widespread stage to host The Night of the Lit Still. An event that skillfully blends theater, culture, taste, and tradition. Created by the Koinè company, the show unfolds among the historic distilleries of the village, each ready to welcome an episode of the story: five stops, five tales, a single immersive experience, enveloped by the scent of pomace and the Christmas atmosphere.
Guided by the narrative voice of Patrizio Roversi – a beloved face of Italian TV – and accompanied by professional actors, you will closely discover the ancient wisdom of Trentino distillation, made possible thanks to a artisanal technique passed down from generation to generation. An experience that attracts enthusiasts and curious visitors from all over Italy each year.
Participate in a theatrical experience that tastes of grappa and tradition
Each show accommodates up to 200 people, divided into 5 groups of 40 participants. After checking in at the former Canonica, you will depart from the village square with the meeting of the audience, actors, and distillers. The show unfolds in five distilleries – Giovanni Poli, Casimiro, Francesco, Giulio & Mauro, Maxentia – with an episode of about 20 minutes in each, tasting included. At some stops, single-varietal grappa and traditional sweets (like chocolate, zelten, or fregoloti) come together for a small harmony of flavors. The grand finale, the “whirlwind,” brings everyone back to the square for a collective and convivial conclusion.
