Hike to the Arca di Fraporte with Adriano Candiago, co-writer and screenwriter of the film Le città di pianura.

Guided excursions with special guests from the worlds of culture, science, literature and the arts, offering original perspectives on the landscape and inspiring new ways of observing and understanding the environment.

ADRIANO CANDIAGO

Born in Argentina, Adriano Candiago is an Italian director and screenwriter who graduated in directing from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 2013. He has worked as assistant director for Daniele Luchetti and Claudio Giovannesi, while developing his own projects in cinema and television. He co-wrote Le città di pianura, presented in competition in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival and winner of eight David di Donatello awards, including Best Original Screenplay and Best Casting. He is currently working on his first animated feature film. Alongside his filmmaking career, he teaches screenwriting and directing.

Route description

From the shadow of the walls of Stenico Castle, we will set off towards Val Laone.

Passing through different vegetation zones and walking beneath Scots pines, hornbeams and majestic beeches, we will follow a forest road offering beautiful views over the Bleggio and Lomaso areas. The final stretch leads through an evocative woodland trail to the Arca di Fraporte, a remarkable place where the power of water has sculpted the rock over time, creating a unique and fascinating natural monument.

• Booking required by 5:00 pm on the day before the activity
• Departure time: 9:00 am
• Meeting point: Church of San Vigilio (Stenico), then transfer by car to the P3 BOSCOARTE parking area in Stenico.
• Duration: 4 hours (half day)
• Included services: guided excursion with a Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta guide accompanied by Adriano Candiago
• Required equipment: hiking shoes, comfortable outdoor clothing. Please bring a backpack with 1 litre of water, a snack, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a spare t-shirt, a sweatshirt and a rain jacket
