Easy route on footbridges and cycling, to the discovery of Lake Ampola, one of the few lake still preserved in their natural state.

Mammals, reptiles and insects find their ideal habitat in the lake vegetation. In spring the water lilies come to bloom and the pond turns yellow.

Suggestions

The wooden pier is an ideal viewpoint to look at the lake and the surrounding mountains. In the Visitor Centre the lake can be viewed through the eyes of its inhabitants.

Directions

From the car park walk on the footbridge across the wet fields. Once on the mainland turn right and walk by the lake. After the visitor centre turn left and follow the cycling path uphill into the wood. At the crossroads turn left and walk back to the car park.
